1988-1989

These are my "Plaids" from 1989.

In my interim between working as a physician in Mölln and my work in the Bezirkskrankenhaus (District Hospital) in Schwerin in January of 1990, I finished these pieces in an experimental phase at the end of 1989. I acquired old Continental and Pirelli tires and used them to rub wax crayons on strips of transparent paper to achieve various patterns and then collaged them by cutting them up or by overlapping them with the waxed side down.
